What does Noble Entertainment do?
Noble Entertainment is an independent film distributor on the Swedish Cinema, DVD and Blu-ray market. Since the start in 2004 Noble’s film catalogue has grown drastically with titles such as Rambo, 1408, Nine, Gamer and Oldboy to name a few. The production department was formed in 2005, and serves Noble and it’s Scandinavian partners Future Film, Star Media and Mis Label with all materials including DVD / Blu-ray productions, trailers and TV spots. The authoring team is handpicked, and in contrast to other companies were you have personnel experienced in one field, each person at Noble is responsible for one title as a whole, everything from capturing and encoding, menu design and authoring which encourages a more creative environment. Noble started investing in equipment for Blu-ray before the format war was over and trialed one of the more expensive authoring tools, but quickly came to the conclusion that it was not only time consuming, but a bit different than authoring a normal DVD with some extensive java programming involved to create a simple working Blu-ray title. We searched for a more cost effective solution and found NetBlender’s DoStudio not only being an excellent and professional program following the Blu-ray spec, but very easy to use which allows almost anyone to understand what Blu-ray is all about and create a title incredibly fast.
How do you use NetBlender?
NetBlender’s DoStudio is a part of our every-day software were we finish at least one Blu-ray title every week. Since we started using NetBlender’s DoStudio about a year ago, we have produced and released about 60 Blu-ray titles. It is really amazing how many titles you are able to produce using DoStudio compared to any other authoring tools available today. The smart layout of DoStudio allows you to directly import a Photoshop layered file with the complete design for all menus, and link everything together in a few hours. With features like BD touch and NetBlender Live we are very confident that we have chosen the right partner for future sets of demanding Blu-ray productions.
How has NetBlender helped your business?
Our first task was to author no less than 15 Blu-ray titles in a extremely short lead time.
