Does BD Touch turn the iPhone into a remote control for your Blu-ray player?
Yes. The free iPhone app includes this capability, but the BD Touch API can take advantage of all of the iPhone’s interactive capabilties such as geo-location, mapping, search and more.

Do my movies need to already have BD Touch on the disc?
Yes. BD Touch will work with future movies that are authored with BD Touch features.

What smartphones work with BD Touch?
Currently, BD Touch only work with the iPhone and iPod Touch.  Additional apps for handsets will be added throughout 2009:

  • iPhone/iPod Touch (available now!)
  • Blackberry Curve (Q4 2009)
  • Palm Pre (Q4 2009)
  • Google Android OS (Q3 2009)

Will BD Touch work outside of the US?
Yes. BD Touch works terrifically over a WiFi network no matter which country you are in.

What BD Players work with BD Touch? BD Touch is designed to work with all BD Live (Profile 2.0) Blu-ray players.  Currently, BD Touch has been tested successfully on the following players:

PANASONIC BD35, BD50, BD60
