Tutorial 1.F. - Add Bonus Videos
What you will learn in this section:
- How to add multi-channel PCM audio
- How to add 24p video (mix frame rates on a disc)
The demo project contains three short videos approximately 15 seconds in length that are intended to stand in for bonus videos commonly found on Blu-ray discs such as trailers, behind-the-scenes documentaries or deleted scenes. Each bonus video will be placed in its own title and contains 1 audio track and no subtitles.
To add the first bonus video title:
- Right-click the “Titles” icon and select “Add Title” from the context menu.
- Click the new title called “Title 3″ to display its properties in the Control Panel.
- Change the name from “Title 3″ to “Bonus Hawaii” in the name text box.
- Use the drop-down list in the On End Title setting to select “Menu Loop”. This will cause the disc to return to the Main Menu Loop when the Bonus Hawaii title finishes playing.
- The frame rate for the demo project’s Bonus Hawaii clip is 29.97 so leave the Frames Per Second setting at “29.97″.
- Right-click the Primary Audio and Video icon and select “Add Audio” from the context menu which displays a dialog window. Select the audio file called “BonusVideo_Hawaii.ac3″ found in the DemoProject.AV folder.
Optionally, you can rename the audio track and set the language display setting (as described in Tutorial 1.C). It is not required that you change the name of the track from its default name, nor is it required that you set the language display setting.

- Change the name from “Title 4″ to “Bonus Virginia” in the name text box.
- Use the drop-down list in the On End Title property to select “Menu Loop”. This will cause the disc to return to the Main Menu Loop when the Bonus Virginia title finishes playing.
- The frame rate for the demo project’s Bonus Virginia clip is 23.98 so use the Frames Per Second drop-down list to chose “23.98″.
- Right-click the Primary Audio and Video icon and select “Add Audio” from the context menu which displays a dialog window. Select the audio file called “BonusVideo_Virginia.ac3″ found in the DemoProject.AV folder.

To add the 3rd bonus video title:
We will follow the same process to add the third bonus video title, except that this clip uses 6 separate LPCM (.wav) audio tracks to create a 5.1 surround track. DoStudio can accept multi-file LPCM tracks.
- Right-click the “Titles” icon and select “Add Title” from the context menu.
- Click the new title called “Title 5″ to display its properties in the Control Panel.
- Change the name from “Title 6″ to “Bonus Alaska” in the name text box.
- Use the drop-down list in the On End Title property to select “Menu Loop”. This will cause the disc to return to the Main Menu Loop when the Bonus Alaska title finishes playing.
- The frame rate for the demo project’s Bonus Alaska clip is 29.97 so leave the Frames Per Second setting at “29.97″.
- Right-click the Primary Audio and Video icon and select “Add Multi-Channel Audio” from the context menu. This adds a new audio track to the title called “Audio track 1″. Click the new audio track node to display its properties in the control panel.
- Use the ellipses buttons to add audio files from the DemoProject.AV folder to channels 1-6 in the following order:
Channel 1:BonusVideo_Alaska_L.wav
Channel 2:BonusVideo_Alaska_R.wav
Channel 3:BonusVideo_Alaska_C.wav
