Tutorial 2.B. - Create the Menu Loop, Main Video, and Bonus Video Playlists
What you will learn in this section:
- What is the On End Play event
What is the One End Play event?
Each Playlist has a setting called On End Play. This drop-down box tells the playlist what Playlist to jump to when it reaches the end. In the box you will see a list of all of the Playlists currently in your project.
Create the remaining Playlists and set the On End Event:
Each Audio Video Segment needs its own playlist. The process for creating them is the same as we learned in Tutorial 2.A.
- Right-click on the menu Loop segment in the Playlist tree and select “Create Playlist from Segment” from the context menu. You will see a new Playlist called “Playlist – Menu Loop” in the tree.
- Repeat step 1 for the remaining segments. When you are done you will have six Playlists, one for each segment.
- Select the FBI Warning Playlist in the tree to display the properties in the Control Panel. You will see that the On End Play event is set to “Playlist – FBI Warning”. When you add a new playlist, the default On End Event is for the Playlist to loop on itself.
- When the FBI Warning finished playing we want the Menu Loop to play, so choose “Playlist – Menu Loop” in the On End Event setting.
- The Menu Loop is intended to loop on itself, so leave the On End Play setting for the Menu Loop Playlist in its default setting.
- The remaining playlists should all jump back to the Menu Loop when they finish playing, so set all of their On End Play events to “Playlist – Menu Loop”.
