Tutorial 3.B. - Add Animation Property

 
What you will learn in this section:

  • How to apply animation properties to a menu block
To set the animation properties for the main menu block:

  1. Click the Main Menu block’s icon in the Menu Element tree to display its properties in the Control Panel.
  2. Click the Animation tab in the control panel.
  3. Use the pull down list for the “Show Menu” settings to select the animation style “Animate from right” and set the speed to “5″.
  4. Leave the “Hide Menu” animation style in its default setting of “No Animation”.

This will cause the main menu to animate in from the right side of the screen whenever the Pop-up menu button on the remote control is pressed, or when you cause the Main menu to appear using Actions (we will do this in tutorial 3.D.) When the Main Menu hides, it will just disappear instantly.
