Tutorial 3.D. - Add Show Main Menu Action
Â
What you will learn in this section:
- How to add an Action
- How to use the Show Main Menu action
To make your main menu appear automatically when the menu loop title is played, we will apply an Action. Â Actions are used to create all of the interactivity on your Blu-ray disc. Actions can be applied to title/chapter events and button elements in your project. They are executed when those events occur or when the button is pressed.
Â
To make your main menu appear when the Menu Loop title is played:
- Display the Playlist by clicking the Playlist tab
- Click the Start Event for the Main Menu Loop title to display the Action editor window in the Control Panel.
- Right-click in the Action editor windows to display the action list
- Select Menu Actions > Menu Actions > Show Main Menu Block. Â The “Show Main Menu” action appears in the Action Editor Window.
Most Actions have parameters that you set using pull-down lists or simple text entry. The Show Main Menu action has two parameters: Set Name (this is the set that you want to display when the menu shows) and Focus Button (this determines which button is selected (ie. highlighted) when the menu shows.
- Use the pull-down list to select “Main Menu Set” for the Set name. Â (Your Main menu only has one set so this will be selected by default).
- Use the pull-down list to select “MM Play Film” for the Focus Button. Â (This button is the first button in your set in the menu elements tree, so it will be selected by default by the Action)
