Tutorial 7.B. – Add the Play Playlist actions

What you will learn in this section:

In this tutorial, we will add the Play playlist action and the Clear Menu Blocks from Screen Action to the four buttons in the Bonus menu.

Expand the menu elements view for the button “PlayAll” using the grey arrow. This displays the five remote control events for this button and the On Show event.
Click the Enter Key event for the button to display the action Editor window in the Control Panel.
Right-click in the Action Editor window to display the Actions list. Select Title Playback Actions > Play Playlist.

The Play Playlist Action has one parameter to set.

Select “Playlist- PlayAll” from the “Playlist Name” pulldown list.
Right-click in the Action Editor window to display the Actions list. Select Display Actions > Menu Actions > Clear Menu Blocks from screen.

Now copy and paste these actions on the other three buttons in the Bonus menu.

Right-click on the Enter key event for the button “PlayAll”. Select Copy from the context menu.
Expand the menu elements view for the button “BonusAlaska” using the grey arrow.
Right-click on the Enter Key event for the button “BonusAlaska” and select Paste from the context menu. You will see the Play Playlist Action and the Clear Menu Blocks from Screen action appear in the Action Editor window.
Click the Play Playlist Action in the Action editor window to display its parameter.
Change the Playlist name setting from “Playlist-PlayAll” to “Playlist-Bonus Alaska” using the Playlist Name pulldown list.
Repeat steps 8-11 to paste the Actions to the button “BonusHawaii” and “BonusVirginia”.
